Queen of the Forest
When I first stepped into the Great Bear Rainforest, I believed the forest itself was the pinnacle of beauty—primeval, shadowed, and utterly alive. Its moss-cloaked trees and whispering rivers felt like the breath of an older world. Then she appeared. Moving with quiet purpose, she emerged into the clearing—watchful, sovereign, and serene. In that instant, I understood: she was not merely a part of this sacred place. She was its embodiment. Her presence didn’t diminish the majesty of the forest; it revealed it anew. As if the land had taken shape around her, and through her, its spirit found form. To witness her here, among the ancient stones and flowing waters, was to feel the forest exhale.
